Destination Wedding at the Diamond Bar Golf Course

Wedding Photography and Nature

Every wedding is unique and can produce a multitude of looks and feelings. This wedding, which had us all over southern California, was a fun 16 hour day that ended up a the Diamond Bar Golf Course in Diamond Bar, CA. After photographing the Bridal Party at a local park, we went to the Golf Course where we were allowed to take out a few golf carts to specific spots on the extensive course, with a chaperone, of course. Our goal was to catch an image right as the sun was going down. My goal was to produce an image that didn't look like it was taken on a golf course. The main challenge was that there were homes and a heavily travelled freeway right behind the couple where i wanted the image to be taken. So, I took out my Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 and got as low down on the ground as I could get to block out the freeway. I was at around 130mm, which compressed the trees right into the couple so it looked like they were right up against them. We spent about a half hour out and about riding in the carts and captured numerous images like this one but in different settings. The staff at the Diamond Bar Golf Course were so accommodating and we were so grateful that they pretty much let us go at our own pace as long as we didn't interfere with any of the golfers. What a great day!
